The bookcase is well designed and built. All parts easily fit together, and were included in the box. My 8 year-old grandson wanted every piece painted in one of four colors, taking us two days to spray paint. Nothing needed sanding, and there were no splinters. I had no issues with over-sized hardware, and appreciated the hex-head wood screws. I used a hex head hand driver, and a powered screw driver, because an 8-year old could not tighten the screws tightly by himself. Some have mentioned that the screw heads are not flush with the wood. If this is important to you, five minutes with a countersink puts all of the screws flush. About wood splitting when the screws are tightened: I didn’t have this issue, but if I did, I would drill out the existing holes, making them slightly larger. This will take 10 or 15 minutes, and I understand that not everyone has a drill.
My biggest issue was securing the bookcase to the corner walls. We live in an area that experiences earthquakes, and since I have lived through several, I know that the bookcase could be flying across the room. Imagine working in the kitchen when the refrigerator goes flying into the opposite wall! My mitigation was to place a strong screw, protruding about 1 inch, in the center of the top circular piece. I then fastened a strap to each corner wall, and connected each strap end to a bracket on the top of the vertical protruding center screw, allowing the bookcase to rotate.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the bookcase.

I was skeptical that this shelf would actually hold all the books from our large children’s bookcase but it did! I stained this before putting together & the color turned out beautifully, glad this was even an option. Assembly was easy and didn’t take long at all! I want another one!

Pretty much exactly what I expected and hoped for. I tried ordering something like this from a different (shadier) seller and had a lot of trouble getting what I paid for. This one arrived, everything was intact and as described, and putting it together took maybe 30 minutes. Offers a truly insane amount of book storage, which is exactly what we needed after exceeding all the standard book-cases in our home. It isn’t the nicest looking—the unfinished wood admittedly looks a bit out of place in our bedroom, but it would probably fit in just fine in a child’s room or a library type of setting. Hope to paint it at some point, but for now the utility can’t be beat.

I searched for a long time on Amazon to get the quality, price, and height that I was looking for in a rotating bookshelf. I am so happy that I am taking time to write this review! It comes sanded and ready for stain or paint. I chose to go with driftwood for my stain and a spray on polyurethane. It was so easy to assemble. Make sure you do each layer one at a time. I flipped over to get the screws on the bottom for first two layers. I love that it came with a white glove for assembly and a patch of sand paper too. I only needed to sand some of the poly spray that I had overstayed in one area. It is sturdy. It takes up very little space in a room. This is perfect for a college student, kids room, or if you have small space in an office. I plan to fill from top to bottom with children’s books but I wanted to show the fit and how many books you could put in one of the four areas on each level. Why I chose this one- first it’s REAL wood. Second, you can stain and paint to your liking. Third, the height of each shelf is about one foot. Not a lot of shelves will give that height. For my extra large books I plan to have a horizontal book display on a nearby armoire. I give this product 2 thumbs up! Great value for money!

This bookcase is made of real pine wood. I’m really pleased with this purchase. It’s easy to assemble and takes about an hour with an Allen wrench to put all the screws in. The directions do not explain where the screws go, but it’s pretty easy to figure out–on the side and beneath each shelf bookend and then on the top of each level you can see 4 holes to screw in.
Make sure to put your heavy books on the lowest/lower shelves. By the time you fill it up it feels very stable and rotates nicely. I’ve bought 4 of these so far. They take up very little space and make your books easy to find and display. There’s so much manufactured wood out there–it’s really great to find an actual wooden bookcase. The shelf levels are big enough for any hardcovers and some larger books just not huge coffee table books.

I saw this in a friend’s house and bought it for my daughter. I was, at first, pleasantly surprised. It’s cut from real wood and was easy to assemble, seeming to be quite sturdy. When I got to the final and top shelf, it became apparent it wasn’t machined properly and the holes were all off center. There is no easy way to contact seller and Amazon was also extremely difficult to find a chat or get a solution. Since it’s assembled I’m keeping it but I wouldn’t have spent 160 dollars for a partial book case. Can not recommend.

This shelf is space-saving and holds a lot of books. It was extremely easy to put together. If you are a homeschool family like us, you will enjoy this rotating bookshelf. It is very strong, with a natural wood color. The materials are durable, and it fits perfectly in the corner. It provides easy access, as you can find a book quickly by turning it, and it is super easy to wipe down for cleaning. My kids love it. We wanted to encourage more book reading in the living room, and this shelf has been perfect for that. It was also a great price for what you get.
