Arrived with a scratched shelf and ripped backing. The backing is just thin cardboard. It also says no tools required, but you need a hammer to put the pegs and such in. Definitely not worth $60.

I do understand these are amazon specials..
That does not account for them to be a heavy product that amazon drivers would rather throw around then treat with respect. (understanding break)
That being said they are stored in a warehouse where their main objective is not furniture. (I HOPE)
These are garbage,
yes they do go together.. they do stand up.
However thats it.
Piece’s do not line up with the hole they provide you you have to make things work as you go.
The majority of corners are damaged when you open the box, any stickers for labeling peel the paint back.
takes 3x as long to build. due to things not working together they way they should be and the way the directions describe
and more than anything, once you build them prepare to throw them away when you move.
they will not come back apart without shattering pieces’ due to the oversized threaded lock down nuts.
and to be honest they would never make even the simplest of a moving day.
Reaching out to amazon wont matter they wont replace anything they want them returned nut they would literally fall apart to take back apart, then to be expected to pick up the deck of cards and return them in the box they came in, remember that box from amazon warehouse with a ton of other things there and what not. 50lbs shelves are not a top priority of them around there (understanding pause)
Once these shelves arrive at your door the boxes will be barely hanging on. GOOD LUCK AND GODSPEED.
After a week not response from anyone guess ill live with these shelves until i throw them out of a window..
save your money buy something better. anything just not these..
I am extremely disappointed with this purchase..

I bought this and it was so easy to put together that I bought another one. Color was nice I got black.
well made product for the price that I paid.

I already own three larger Furinno bookcases and recently added the smaller Furinno Pasir 3-Tier No Tool Assembly Open Shelf Bookcase to my growing library. While these aren’t high-quality or exceptionally durable products, they serve their purpose well.
Someday, I hope to build my dream library with top-quality shelves, but for now, I’ll stick with these Furinno shelves. However, I think I would have preferred a ‘tools required’ assembly over this tool-less setup for better stability and durability.

So I bought the 5 cube ‘no tool’ shelves because they were the right dimensions for my space. They seem sturdy enough for displaying books and random nicknacks under my lofted bed. for the cost (right around 22 dollars a set when I purchased) I’m pretty happy.
The backing board is just laminated cardboard – I would have liked to see something a little more durable but for the price it’s fine I guess. The shelves themselves are made of laminated plywood – expected for the price. There’s some slight damage on some corners of boards but it’s not obvious and I’ll be able to cover them with some black paint with no issues.
The instructions clearly say that it should take 1 person about 10 minutes to build and that no tools are required. Both of these statements are untrue. I would like to think that I’m about average as far as my physical strength and assembly skills, and the second shelf took me 26 minutes to assemble (the first set definitely took me longer because I had to read and reread the instructions as I went.)
with regard to the tools, I felt that I needed a hammer. A water bottle or book could have also helped in a pinch. With the plastic fasteners, I believe you’re supposed to simply press them into place by hand, since they don’t have proper threads or any way to really screw them down. A more determined individual than I could probably have brute forced them into place with fingers, but I elected to get a hammer and tap them down.
Overall, I like the shelves and I think they’ll work great for their purpose, but the guides in the packaging could have been more clear about how to use the fasteners and suggested tools. I wish the back was sturdier, too, but overall I would recommend these for someone needing cheap small shelves.

I needed something like this for my small office space at my new apartment. I do not know why Furino cannot describe items during assembly using the colors of the items, particularly with this time because this small bookshelf uses large off-white plastic thingys to keep this bookshelf together and I ended up just screwing the shelves together, but used the black plastic thingies for the backside of this bookshelf. It took me at least 10 minutes to figure that assembly mess out. Once I just used longer wood screws and my drill, I just drilled the shelves together and looks just fine and probably more sturdier this way too. I added more small nails to strengthen this entire unit even more and nailed the shelves with the back plate of this bookshelf. I saw one of these built with using those plastic thingies instead of wood screws and it was really wobbly and only when you put the back plate on the backside and nailed it onto this bookshelf, it was a bit more stable. Nice bookshelf, but bad plastic thingies making an usually easy job into a mess. Oh yeah, those dowels were TOO SHORT and that is another poorly done thing on this shelf. 3 stars.
